How to Store a Classic Car: Protect Your Investment Year-Round

Proper storage is the cheapest and most effective way to preserve a classic car. Whether you park it for winter or for years, these steps keep your vintage car healthy and ready to drive.

Choose the right environment

A dry, ventilated space is essential. Damp garages invite the rust that destroys vintage metal. If a climate-controlled space is out of reach, focus on ventilation and moisture control.

Prepare the car before storage
